Our sports teacher many moons ago at high school - You had to bend over and get the Cricket bat across your ass - by jo you knew it.
When you got the cane, you were the talk of town (school hero) for day lol.
I got two whacks with with the cane in the first week of high school. Being a lad from the bush, poor-ish, the high school years were a first for having to wear shoes, which resulted in nasty blisters. In one class it was basically a free period and I had my shoes off under the desk to relieve the pain. A mate in front of me, threw one of my shoes out the window. A mongrel teacher next door spotted it and came over and marched us both into the headmasters office. I got two canes for not reporting it and the other guy got two for supposedly stealing others peoples property. lol.
My mother wrote to the school complaining, and their said excuse was, we got the cane for disturbing the class lol = The teacher or none of the class, even knew it happened lol.
