Who can still remember these, page-14

obviously this thread has digressed a bit more from being humorous - and not that watso can contribute anything new (yes, watso is long in the tooth) - but watso ended up with his foot in plaster, after falling from the monkey bars ... and lol - the swings that watso's father put up in the back yard - lol, one of the neighbour's kids come flying off the swing, and BANG - hit the picket fence behind him. the idea of the swing was to get as high as one could, before sliding off and seeing how far one could land. watso has a vague recollection of the empty swing , wrapping around the top bar.

one thing for sure, is that the playgrounds of the 60's are totally different to the playgrounds of today - take for example the slides ... oh forget it - there is no comparison .. everything today, is all about kids being in cotton wool
