Paladin ups Deep Yellow stake

Uranium producer Paladin Energy has increased its stake in explorer Deep Yellow to 19.3 per cent - or about $11 million - the company has announced.
Paladin acquired 44.7 million shares in the company to cement its position in the firm, saying it recognised Deep Yellow’s uranium management and exploration team, as well as the firm’s tenement position.
“The acquisition of the additional Deep Yellow shares is a strategic investment for Paladin,” the firm said in an announcement.
Deep Yellow shares closed up 15 per cent yesterday to 26¢, while Paladin was down 11 per cent to $3.75.
