AB seems to be a bone of contention amongst those that have been long term sufferers (er sorry holders) of Newsat scrip. There are frequently posts saying get rid of AB, get somebody in to run the company that knows what he's doing. The fact that he had the dream, doesn't mean that he has the skills to bring Newsat to fruition as profitably as possible for the shareholders.
This is well and good, but there is no use lopping of the head of the serpent, without a better option to take over.
So just wondering Who could replace AB?
I'm wondering if Michael Malone could be convinced?
Michael was instrumental in the founding of IINet in 1993. I believe IINet started in a garage in Perth (Sounds a bit like apple). From 1993 until his resignation in March this year IINet grew to a market cap of over 1 Billion Dollars.
Michael Malone is now on the board of Speedcast, a Singaporean satellite provider recently listed on the ASX (SDA).
So I know its hypothetical, but if he could be convinced Michael Malone would be my nomination to replace AB.
Who would you nominate to replace AB?
