People on welfare are encouraged to study, "hey take a course mate, $5,000 or $10,000, does not matter" person does not attend or finish the course, then just do another ????
There is money for these courses, most are wasted, never completed.
On the other hand, kids who are doing Uni, get a $30,000 to $50,000 debt ????
So you pay your taxes, your kids start life with a debt, and on the other hand, you don't work, you can waste money on whatever course you like ?
Rubbish.
If they are worried about the kids who do not finish their Uni degrees or go overseas, why punish all of them.
Can't you be sensible and fair ?
Once they complete their course, if they work and pay taxes for 5 years, you make them debt free, simple ?
If you do the wrong thing, you still owe the govt money.
In Denmark etc, they pay for the complete University education for children, plus pay them around AUD 2,000 per month to meet their needs. Thats investing in the future of your country.
