Hi Top
The boards promise to return value in my view has nothing to do with making a Mum here and a Dad there a little bit wealthier. It is about returning the stock price to something that represent fair value for the company. By having the stock at a price that represents fair value; or from time to time a little bit better than fair value, it allows the entity to do the only thing it is on the bourses to do: Access Capital.
When a stock is priced at what is better than considered fair value; Its access to capital is very efficient
When a stock is priced at what is considered fair value; Its access to capital is efficient
When a stock is priced at what is worse than considered fair value; Its access to capital is NOT efficient.
These are the reasons the board should treat the markets kinder. The board have shown that they run a company; They have not yet shown they can run a listed company.
I'd like to see that!
