Some grandstanding independents thought they could abuse the situation to inflate their own egos and dictate how parliament should function. They pretended to be undecided while trying to extract as much for themselves as they could. It seems fairly obvious to all observers that these negotiations were not in good faith.

Abbott has shut these egotistical clowns down and refused to give them and labor any further advantage. Good on him.

More and more he proves he's the man. He's capable of making decisions for the good of the country as opposed to his crony mates and backers.
