Im an over 50s ICCU nurse working on the front line. So not every avocado muncher is propping up the system. I own one house the place I live in. Have no interest in Australia's housing ponzi scheme. I have structured my super to be self funded (no pension ever) never wanted or expected one. This bubble based on false wealth was bound to burst (Just happens that it was a virus that burst it.). Yes the GST will probably go to 15%. Yes the government will probably bring in death duties on the wealthy. Yes this spending will all have to be paid for. Perhaps its time some Australians started living within there means. Maybe its time for Australians to expect less and be happy they were not borne into an indian slum. Many of Australia's CEOs also need to take a good look at them selves (most are not worth the millions they pilfer). We are all being sent a message here as to the unsustainable way in which we live. Bush fires, floods, pandemic, financial market crash the list goes on. So be very care-full who you blame not every boomer is a greedy self centered prick. I Know plenty of young people who live in there own world of self entitlement. At the end of the day you can choose to trample on the planet or live with less and be happy.
