I let the fire go out,
Then I get the wheel barrow,
Then I shovel the ash into the wheel barrow very gently so as not to create a big dust storm in the house at the same time I have my little guy standing beside me with the vacuum cleaner on,
pointing at the wood stove opening so if by any chance I drop the ash and the dust goes everywhere then the vacuum cleaner is already sucking the dust in keep the house clean,
Then I get some paper towel and a bowl of water,
I wet the paper towel in the bowl of water then drop the wet paper towel into the ash and then I wipe the glass down on the inside of the door so that way it get the stain of the glass,
Then use another dry clean peice of paper towel to wipe dry and clean the glass,
I do this 3 times a winter, easy peasy,
All the ash goes into my veggie patch because wood ash is basically pot ash which is excellent for the veggies,
Its the same thing that happens in the forest naturally, bushfire burns down trees, trees turn into ash, seeds regrow 1000 % better,
