I meant to add that this range, velocity, and impact scaleability can happen with the same rounds in the same barrel, it depends on the firing rate, once you get to the point of firing another round while there is still another round that has been fired in the same barrel, then that is when you start to see mach 5/50 technology coming into play, although there is another method as well that can achieve the same thing with a single round firing, it just uses multiple propellant loads and each of those is fired sequentially while the round is within the barrel still.
