The Directors (20%) have signed on. ANZ (27%) have done so, as well.

That means, they only need 23% more shareholders who either like the idea or are too disinterested to vote (giving proxies to Directors, by default) and the 70% threshold is reached.

If the deal goes through, we get CDE shares at a fixed rate - not even any compensation for positive movements in BSG share price in the meantime.

If you don't think that's good reason for BSG to track CDE share price, you're trying too hard to see the positives in this dog of a deal.
