I must admit, I will feel more comfortable when the money is in the bank. But common sense and precedent says the FIRB should approve the deal.

If small deals like this start getting knocked on the head, the Australian government will have a huge diplomatic problem with Beijing. And the resource sector will be dealt a big blow in terms of their ability to attract foreign capital.
