The Jesus of the NT did not fulfil the prophecies attributable to the Messiah. There's nothing to argue here because it is clear and without question. There are hundreds of prophecies concerning the returned, Jesus 2 and only a handful concerning the first Jesus figure in the OT.
That's the reason why Jesus 1 was rejected by the Jews. They can do no more than follow the prophecies of their own religion and Jesus 1 did not fulfil them.
The suggestion is that prophecy is speaking of both Jesus1 and the returned Jesus 2 type figure. The returned Jesus 2 figure being the Prophet that the OT is primarily speaking about and prophesying about.
