I was pretty much on the right track, I suppose does this pose the question, is it early posturing for a takeover.
reasoning I bring this up, Different sector but, XIP announced possible merger with similar size IP company. Along came IPH with an on market purchase of 25% of XIP shares. This gave IPH big voting numbers. enabling them to prevent the merger in the first instance and weeks later offered a merger themselves.
is it possible that this accumulation of shares by UBS on behalf of someone lead to a similar scenario.
I could be way off the mark. As I said trying to get my head around this part of it.
what are your thoughts.
very keen to learn as much as I can.
