The latest recommendations for antiviral resistance havn't altered that much - and yes i agree - their reluctance to change recommendations early will cost lives as by time they realise tami is not working the patient is already in trouble - if they see a sudden upsurge in resistance they will have to change tack - nothing more mentioned about the 77% out of japan - i wonder if it was the way it was reported - ie an accumulated report? I notice on one of nimans latest posts he talks also about monoclonal antibody escape - can anyone shed more light on that - cause if true it may mean roches new project may be comprimised, which impacts bta. good thing to come out of latest recommendation is more reliance put on IV relenza.
