It may be possible that some with large share holdings - institutions and individuals are as pissed off as HC people.

Perhaps there is a move taking place by such holders of Anvil shares to block acceptance of the take over.

Because of Trafigua's substantial holding this might well be followed by a competative bid at a higher level.

Alternatively it could result in extracting a higher bid price from the present take over offer.

Institutions may not want to stand idly by and watch their investments devalued in the manner now happening.
The exchange rate is very unhelpful with the latest surge in
AU$.

The Anvil Board has endeavoured to hinder such a move by placing penalties.

In spite of the Board's "Best outcome for share holders" statements they have not acted in our interests and possible reasons for that are easy to imagine.
