Before you all commit Hari Kari you all need a chill pill and a good lie down!!!
The fundamental question that seems to be lost in the heat of disappointment is this:
"Does the Perth Basin hold a shed load of gas or not?"
If, as I believe, it does, then the blue sky case for optimism about STX is intact.
More drilling over the next 12 months will most likely lead to another assessment of WE reserves - and a markedly higher number will emerge.
Will it be 700Bcf or a Tcf???
Time will tell.
Up until now, the drilling has been challenging.
Are you genuinely surprised, given how deep the holes and the challenges posed by high gas pressures?
This is frontier exploration at the limits of drilling experience for most contractors.
Time and hard work will unlock significant value for those with a little patience.
Bailing out at the first sign of difficulties hardly deserves to be rewarded.
I'm already in at lower levels, and looking to add.
