Thanks Dools, I found a list on Market Index and had a look.
It looks like for SXY to get to the ASX 200 would require a market cap of (maybe) around $1.4 billion, or nearly 3 times the current market cap, which probably isn't going to happen in the short term.
I'm wondering if S&P include stocks in their ASX 200 and ASX 300 based purely on market cap, or if they have a more complicated formula, which I presume is the case, because it looks like SXY is currently in the ASX 300 (even though it's ranked 379 by market cap).
I'd really like to find out what the formula's are that S&P use, just out of interest.
