HA!! Thanks Hell I knew I could count on you mate! I agree with you to a certain extent but the banks as a whole don't provide the capital growth I'm after. However for those who want just above average good capital growth and good dividends in a solid business then I agree they are hard to beat. And with a more solid base of income (fees etc.......) regardless of their interest margin,bad debt etc.......they are in a better position to be less volatile performers going forward.
