Excuse me, please note, this forum comes under Philosophy & Religion.
There is a difference, religious people tend to accept, to a greater or lesser degree, the dogma of their chosen faith. Some have no choice other than do this or be excommunicated from family, sect or tribe.
People with a philosophical bent, tend to think things through, have the desire to wonder and can better see the big picture - and the universe is a big picture.
I wonder how many other planets are out there with intelligent live (that would be nothing like us in appearance or biological structure) thinking "god created us in his own image"
