I want to agree with your general thrust but I'm not sure,
"a latte and coffee country caused by over-educated over paid" = "non-future looking experts."
Usually, people who look into the future effectively are the educated ones, researchers. People like Alvin Toffler or Tony Seba.
Otherwise, you're saying over-educated people are stupid or experts aren't. Which seem a contradiction in terms.
If you're complaining about their (over) pay. Well, I think they get paid by people seeking their expertise and proportionately to that.
I think you mean the greens who's "concern" for the future is cutting off our noses to spite our face?
From what I see the greens aren't particularly educated at all. They are less educated than the experts.
Then there are people like Jacqui Lambie & Pauline Hanson. I know they aren't educated.
Tradies are educated in their trade. The ones who are small business people as well, have a very good handle on basic economics from the ones I talk to anyway.
