Being a proto-academic myself... 1 month of funding left on my phd!!! I'm perhaps a little sensitive.

Your point is fair - To Cramer's credit his spruiking of the rally would have made one a lot of money - and he sprinkled in sufficient caution of things to look out for that would change the tenor of the market.

But it also depends greatly on your investment style. Jim Rogers takes a very bearish view (though for different reasons to Roubini) - but trades only for the long term. For him, the current rally is immaterial.

My hat goes off to anyone who truly knows how to trade the markets daily without being inside... totally baffling to an academic like me. :)
