Skinny, tax is done on a per share basis, not a per profit basis.
What I mean is, say you have 1000 shares costing $5 each so $5,000 cost. These double to $10 per share to $10,000.
You decide to sell 500 shares, because your taxed on a per share basis, your still taxed on the $2,500 in gains you made on these 500 shares.
Hope that makes sense, and lets also hope the 79.5c target in 2 months gets hit as well.
