Here is my reason for showing that link!
I know it was kind of sneaky and demanded an answer, but desperate times call for desperate measures!

Now I will tell you why I posted that and you will see why, sometimes it isn't what you ask but how you ask it!

A while back I said I wouldn't post a copy of the email reply from Milkor, but I see no reason why I can't post what I asked them?

I changed the name to moosey for obvious reasons.

I will also tell you this again, in part his reply he stated that, "what I had read was true"

Note-: I have removed the reply from Milkor, so you will just have to trust me.

It has been brought to our attention that someone is curently spreading untrue, malicious rumours concerning MILKOR (Pty) Ltd. to the effect that we have been declared insolvent or similar insinuations. We wish to place on record that on of our shareholders and previous Managing Director, Richard Potgieter, lodged an application in the North Gauteng High Court, case number 77059/09 - Notice of Motion, requesting that MILKOR (Pty) Ltd. be declared insolvent, because it is just and equitable due to a management deadlock. A subsequent Arbitration hearing between R Potgieter and Milkor was held and the ruling was in favour of MILKOR, with costs, against R. Potgieter, effectively nullifying the grounds for his earlier application. The original owner of Milkor, Mr A Piek with his supporting shareholders, now again own the majority shares in Milkor and there is no deadlock in the company's management. Milkor is still going strong, in production and in fact the company is engaging in exciting new developments to their range of weapons. It would assist us in a possible court action if anone hearing such rumours would be willing and able to provide us with a written statement as to who said what and when.

Is this information below part of those rumours or is what was said true? it has been posted on a website on Yahoo?
Is someone trying to misrepresent Milkor or it's Ceo?

    --------------------------------------------------------------
Milkor?s CEO Gary Abrams has no doubt Raytheon will out bid Milkor for Australia?s new defence technology specialists Metal Storm in the near future. In January this year Milkor won a US$42.2 million contract to supply 2200 six shot grenade launchers to the US marines over a five year period. The contract followed successful trials of the launcher in Iraq.
At present there are 180,000 enlisted US marines in active service. The size and weight and effective lethal range of the Milkor M32 MGL limit a soldier to carry the launcher only. This will mean a standard 24 man Rifle Platoon will carry only one six shot launcher.
The recently available three shot grenade launcher (3Gl) from Metal Storm is much lighter, about one third the size and has triple the lethal distance of the Milkor?s contracted launcher. The fact that it attaches to most rifles Picatinny rail mount means each member of the 24 man rifle Platoon can have it attached to their rifles. This gives the platoon an immediate response capability of 72 grenades in the first 3 to 4 seconds of engagement. This initial firepower is estimated to reduce the need for air support in 80% of engagements in both Iraq and Afghanistan and cause a significant reduction in the number of causalities that occur in the first 3 minutes of most engagement.
The marines will need in the vicinity of 50,000 weapons to upgrade their front line troupes. The Milkor?s price tag of US$20,000 each is above Metal Storms prices however the initial Contract for 16,000 three shot grenade launches (3GLs) from Metal Storms will be in the vicinity of US$300 million over a three year period. Hence the interest from Raytheon. Milkor could not possibly wrestle this sort of contract or the attached technology from them.

My interest is that I am a shareholder in Metalstorm and I am trying to understand whether what has be said is true and factual?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully you can answer my question.

    Regards moosey

So now you know what was sent, and part of his reply.

I believe that Milkor SA has licensed the right to produce some of their weapons to Milkor USA, but Milkor SA did confirm what was said by Milkor' USA's CEO was in fact true, and I for one would not doubt that for one minute, why in the hell would a company that is already making millions of dollars selling a weapon to the US say something like what was said about a competitor, one who stands to completely overtake any future sales possibly? it would not make sense would it?
