Who is..Merchant Corporate Pty Ltd (‘Merchant’)

We have a big waste of dramatic breath thread just below when if one is astute enough the question above is the only one actually worth asking and understanding first. Without this one answered t oa high degree of understanding one is left with no good opinion to consider....I never heard of them before...

So who/what are they, where they exist, are they a subsidiary/sister etc of some other bigger firm, etc etc etc what stocks they usually invest in...examples would be nice if you are so up there in high quality DD.
