The meeting for the closure of Cawse seems to have been in the first week of October 2008. Suspended on the 9th, 2008.
Fingers crossed it is an annual board meeting and a decision could be made this week.
IMO the question is no longer "if" but now "when" they will do the deal and/or put all their OZ assets up for sale.
Norilsk will realize that after the Orion fiasco they will not be welcome to operate back in Oz again and their best option would be to cash in and sell. At the end of the day they will still do well with probably a deal also done on the refinery of the concentrates.
The longer the leave it the lower price they will get for their plants.
Fingers crossed it is soon so we can all move forward.
The SP is just been played with at the moment but once news is out the SP manipulation will be out of the control of these players.
