black swan, I agree but on a deeper level Sept 11 lead to Greenspan cutting rates and keeping them their for longer than her should have which lead to the debt bubble and subprime lending given the enormous amount of cheap money about exacerbated by U.S. GREED.
So yes you are correct, those hijakers didnt just destroy a few building in New York they inadvertantly brought down the entire US economy.
