I have a theory which goes something like this:
Sam has sold the idea to some large players.
The large players want in, but decide to play the market by driving down the SP, which can be done if you have the capital and engage the right people.
A low SP puts the large player in a stronger bargaining position and they can take a position in the company at an attractive SP.
When deal is done and SP spokes, they can recoup an excellent return.
IMO it's either the above or we are really in trouble and the whole thing is being sandpapered to death.
