P31, you have just opened up one of the great debates in business: Who Owns The Customer?
I would argue that the owner is the one who has the relationship, who talk to the customer, who services the customer, who supplies the product/service, who invoices and collects the payment.
In the case of Nextstellis let's look at those elements. MYX definitely markets to the medical practitioners, MYX markets to consumers and that includes word of mouth interactions between consumers and/or influencers. MYX deals with the dispensing pharmacies and has in fact been developing a direct to consumer model cutting out the margin hungry Pharmacy Managers. Who handles the final payment by the consumer and/or insurer is a bit more tricky to understand as there are many options including the new one via MYX owned 'Adelaide Apothecary'.
Another factor (question) does the consumer care or even know that Nextstellis is made by Mithra and soon Gedeon Rechter? Does the consumer care?
Lots to digest in the quest to understand who owns the Nextstellis customer. I think MYX does and I hope to god they protect that precious relationship and service the customer in a high quality way so we never losethem.
