Big claims! I hope you are correct. But the offer would have to be very big.
And if your friend's belief in a giant deposit of the size of Oyu Tolgoi under the Kanmantoo area is correct (another big claim), Hillgrove are unlikely to receive a sufficient offer, are they? Because there hasn't been the deep drilling to prove the claim.
And, I am not sure how David Archer would respond to an offer that values only HGO's cash, Kanmantoo etc., and gave little value to the ESG top-up. What could he say?
"We think we are going to get another x amount out of Santos soon, so your offer is not fair value"... it would send ESG skyrocketing!
I am not necessarily doubting your post, o_q. It makes sense in terms of some of the known evidence. Just the predators sound too big for HGO! OZL, I would believe.
