I actually didn't mind Abbott despite the gaffs because I believe he was a good bloke with his heart in the right place. My daughter (no interest in politics) but insightful said in passing that he (Turnbull) looks and sounds like a salesman or a lawyer - a lethal combination.
The rest of the world is bemused but also jealous of our political system. The yanks have to resort to impeachment or assassination to achieve what on Monday night, one single woman achieved without any physical violence. The French think we are lucky not to have any French in our parliament - at least they should anyway. The Scotts, the Jews and other bargain hunters love how Australia gets two, sometimes three governments for the price of one. You get what you pay for though and we get what we deserve.
Malcom is going to treat the Australian public as intelligent people should be treated however 1/2 of the Australian public is below the average level of intelligence.
