So Goldman's are essentially in a profit situation by taking the trade from the short and now long sides. I guess now they will attempt to keep the stock price close to the raising price while exiting. The Myer board must have been desperate to agree to such a low number. It will be interesting to see what the latest short sales report are for this stock if there is more downside or are traders closing their positions.
