as i was reading the above linked article I was racking my brain to remember where all the counter points were and you'd already posted them.

His 'statistically insignificant' call is misleading at best.
Downright deception at worst, especially since it was also published in 'The Age'.

Cleverly , he would argue that the he was referring to the number of patients in the trial (not big enough for FDA approval, hence phase 3's larger trial) rather than the actual efficacy of the drug.
Which, in the smaller trial, has significant results as quoted by the principal investigator.
