therefore antisemitic doesn't merely apply to Jews but all people whose language roots are in common in the defined region.

antisemitic applies equally to Muslims and Christians with historical roots in Palestine.

Yes, but the term “antisemitism” was coined by the German, Wilhelm Marr in 1881 to refer specifically to discrimination against Jews.

The term has become so diluted and misused that I now favour either the term “Jew-hater” or “Judeophobe”….they are much more meaningful.
