It’s usually the retail punters that get taken by surprise.

* Why are they raising capital, I thought they had 6 years worth? The retail punters asked.

Surely a room temp quantum computing chip can’t be developed and made available to the market for $24m.

So when does spending increase? At what milestone?

There are people that know. And the market makers know. And they’ll drive the share price where they want it and they’ll be pretty accurate in their timing.

And it suits the board to a degree. Quid pro quo. Future funding. They have to play the game and the game usually doesn’t suit those that buy the story too early.

So ask the company for a roadmap and the $ to get there. Guaranteed, you don’t want $24m to last 6 years.
