not arguing at all with you on your first point.It does seem to be the prudent thing to do, having subsidiaries.

My reason for continuing this toping,or why it started was I did a simple search on some of the GGP sub's and this Andrew Gould name came up. I knew i had come across it previously but not sure what regarding. My interest just grew from there and then jakel's post just kept it going.

Surely there is nothing wrong with "drilling" lukeben ? We may not find oil but could find water ? or smelly gas ?

Wouldn't you say it is also prudent for persons to do DD on companies ? I think so.
