I have a friend that works there and he assures me that the last roaster shutdown was a standard 2 yearly 42 day shut for major refractory works. This happens every two years, the "last" shutdown was only a 10 day "cold Shut" for other maintenance works that cannot be done on the run.
No skeletons in the cupboard there!
Oh, in addition, the plant did run on stockpiled whilst the UG was being developed.
