Downers say world phone is a dud, and stupid comments like "better off buying a milkbar"..
The 5million world phone downloads are what some of the Telco deals are all about.
The telcos want the potential 5million customers, because otherwise they are losing $ to mobs like whatsapp. Then say they finalise a deal with 1 of these big mobs like VNPT (that have more customers than telstra/optus/Vodafone combined, and suddenly those customers are using world phone rather than whatsapp, so the $ stays within the Telco and Norwood.
Currently the amount of downloads and cost per download means nothing.. it's the bigger picture of telcos and nor partnering up and sharing althat massive market that whatsapp etc are cleaning up on.

..as far as I understand it anyway.

I dont think world phone revenues at the moment really matter much, it's what happens once telco deals are on.. and hopefully some front ended deals to shut up the "CR choir". I know that World Phone is a big part of some deals, as is Corona and all other parts of NOR.
