the teachers, is one of the biggest reasons, and why we are turning out kids who cannot read and write, then leave school at the mandatory age of 15 or 16 or whatever it is
hence the popularity of all news available via video because the kids cannot read or write but they can watch and listen
the mess was evident to me in the mid 1980's
throwing more money at the teachers is not the answer
the kids also need parents who are interested in the childs education...and who teach the children too
too many parents, stuck in the ignorant trap, rely on the teachers for all the childs education and do nothing at home the nanny state problem is paramount
how about the pm, she pronounces the word as ... edjookashon she drops the U....in fact there are many words she pronounces incorrectly....why ???
is it because she learnt the 'new age' system... where they were not taught to spell the word, and say it correctly, but spell it the way it sounded...or how they heard it...

I know a father having massive problems with his 15 year old boy...the headmaster walks around with a golf stick... ...a massive threat and a bully symbol
same headmaster demands the child attend school and wear whatever they dish out to him he called the boy coloured....the boy is not coloured, but his grandparents were, the HM figured this out from his name there are some teachers who bait and goad the boy, in an effort to make him respond...and get expelled, suspended this is a nice intelligent, smart boy... he says he is bullied by the teachers and headmaster...not other children
