This will make PME holders laugh or cry or both, especially today, given the market's less than enthusiastic reaction to the HY results.
Just to rub salt into the wound, today there was an item on ABC Radio National's World Today program about the fact that some doctors are resorting to taking photos of radiology displays with their mobile phones in order to send the images to other doctors to be interpreted. Specifically, the program item was about an academic study that had been done to ascertain whether the practice is reliable. Sadly for us, in respect to the specific medical condition that they were looking at, they found it was reliable. If it was that visually obvious that it could be seen on a mobile phone photo, one has wonder why the doctors had to get another's opinion, but there you go.
My own view, having shelled out for quite a bit of imaging from different providers with different systems and watching doctors struggle with it, is that the sooner PME becomes the Microsoft of the radiology world and creates a defacto standard that everybody knows, the better it will be. The current arrangement is about as helpful as multiple railway gauges.
"Photos of x-rays on smart phone as effective as x-rays themselves: study"

All round it was a lousy day for me with MIN getting a caning along with quite a few others.
Evidently some holders were expecting PME to shoot the lights out. They sold to more patentient holders.
cheers
