that's correct ------------- multiculturism is exactly that - 'multiple' cultures

what we need really is unity -----

different peoples coming together to be - an Aussie culture

and there is the problem --------- the other day Dutton spoke of the Australian 'way of life'

so, on here I asked - what exactly is this 'Australian - way of life'??

guess what ----------- no one knew

so - if we don't know what our 'culture' is - or what our 'way of life is' -

then no one who comes to Australia knows what it means to be to be Aussie - except to be here

and let us get this straight --------------- we are all visitors.

And yes - that includes aboriginals ------------- we all came from 'somewhere else' - our blood came from 'somewhere else'.

So, if we want an Aussie culture, an Aussie way of life --------- we need to work out what that is AND if we like it

we can only work out what that is ----------- if we define it - otherwise - we are lost

Sun, surf, bikini girls and knocking off early on Friday was all the culture we could summon - up until the 70's. Now, the sun is hotter, bikinis are briefer, and we work ourselves to death to pay for the mortgage/rent, food and education and a speeding fine every time you leave the house. If dunderhead Dutton thinks that that is great, then the 'Australian way of life' as it stands hasn't got much to crow about. Now we're just little America with the haves and the have nots with a few bikini girls remaining to sex up the fabricated story. Small mercies.
