What a rort though?! These guys inherit vast tracts of land and then try to squeeze every last drop.

Old money in Europe runs very very deep. I imagine much of it isn't even on the radar and that's just how they like it.

I imagine Australian law takes a lead from British law wrt mineral rights? and the land owner/lease holder doesn't own the minerals like they do in the US.

I am only speculating though.
