Yes this pay tax on unrealised gains is being pushed by our encumbent federal government behind the scenes and is being heavily lobbied against by the accounting industry. The big concern is no one within the government ever seems to be able to fathom a thing called "unintended consequences " as though they are quite OK because they are ........... unintended.
