I just use the same as most and that is the trend is your friend.

A lot of stocks get incredibly hyped and overbought in the latest and greatest fad - dot coms - bio techs - uranium and the same will eventually happen with gold - iron ore and coal.

Uran is a classic example of a stock that was good to ride but you be quick to jump when the upward trend is broken.

Picking bottoms is a fools game as i believe 8 out of 10 times you'll be catching a falling knife and believe me when i say it hurts.
