Natural will never have a chance at price parity or below, it has seldom benefits over SG unfortunately. I've been putting 2+2 together. The reason China can flood the market with cheap SG, Surprisingly, is the war in Ukraine. Russian sanctions have forced them to sell their oil to China at dirt cheap prices. stupid cheap, and they do it, all because they have to fund their stupid war. Obviously SG being a byproduct of petroleum production, hence the glut and oversupply. So fingers crossed Trump sucks off Putin and stops the thing and the cheap oil dries up for them. The narrative that the oversupplied market is unsustainable and consolidation is occurring is hopeful but how long? do we suffer? 2027? when the IRA tarriff kicks up? I see new battery tech as very for away, graphene pipe dreams and graphiteless batteries are just bullshit distractions. the only thing stopping NG flying is SG. But the winds are a changing with Trumpy boy, we might see an Ex China market sooner than '27 with any luck.
