The Koch brothers invested a lot of money to get people to believe that tea party nuttiness. Just the same as they invested in Jim Crow laws and the battle against civil rights for African Americans.
Of course there's no link between those two things because one white movement was against black people in general, whereas the Birther movement is only 99% white and against one black person. (And his wife and kids of course.)
So great to see that this whole argument in the US is just about religion. No racial undercurrent at all.
