I think you are both basically saying the same thing, just in different ways.

Clark, you seem to be using DCF valuations to determine your price today, a pure fundamental analysis.

Prophet, you seem to be saying the same thing just with some added variables, such as risk factors etc etc.

All DCF valuations carry a risk factor in determining their future cash flows. How much weight we apply to these risks is up to the individual doing the analysis.

So you're both right in your methods. Neither one of you will be able to accurately forecast what bearing certain risks will actually have and will come to fruition.
