In todays announcment on page 7 is a map showing the route of the independent railway AGO are considering. I have a vague recollection of a map many months ago. Anyway this map shows we are not linking up with Roy Hill, FMG , BHP OR RIO. That imo only leaves Aurizon in the game
Aurizon did not want 50/50 split with FMG. They are more interested in near majority control with small holdings by the mining companies they serve. AGO may have a 5 or 10% holding. If it costs $2b or $2.5b 10% of this is only $200-250m and we more cash than that at present. Even if it costs more we are in a good position and in response to one of todays earlier posters I dont think we will need to do a CR.
Any one know whether this rail will also pick up Flinders mines FMS
