i took up my entitlement offer.
reasons: this stock is way undervalue, compare to Net Tangible Assets.
Australia, US, Europe (western economies) is a basket case, and have a long long way to go before we can tame the virus.
Thailand /Cambodia /Vietnam /China on the other hand have gotten the virus under control,YES agree. These countries do depend on Western economies. However, the fact that covid is kept in check at these countries mean it is very likely that they will see normalcy again soon, before western economies return to normal.
Thailand / Cambodia should see border opening again sometime in the next few weeks/months
Vietnam / China border opening. perhaps sometime this year.
ASX and Dow Jones, does provide better governance. However, they are a basket case and expect to go into a depression soon.. so better to not put all your eggs into the western economies basket.DNA is a play on the Chinese economy (which is also falling apart. Albeit, at much slower pace than the Western Economies). However, DNA is not listed on the Chinese stock market. This make it, much safer than directly holding Chinese stocks that could potentially get cut out from western world. Should the Chinese communist party decide to wages economic war against the west.. you will just simply can no longer access your stocks from outside of china.
i understand there is tension between China and Vietnam, however seems they are managing it ok. Vietnam is playing with both sides, China and Western World. so this should not be too much of a problem for Aristo.
Cambodia is now China's new lap dog in region, Thailand likely to be joining Cambodia soon to boost their economy, therefore Star Vegas should be ok.
Be really careful holding Western domicile companies stock that have operation in China, like las vegas sand. If the chinese communist party aren't happy they might just cut out the casino license for LVS macau. The casino operation there will just be worthless.
