Yes, much is meant for the US citizen.
However, as mentioned, the US won't be the only one to keel over in a depression. I think it is a matter of picking gold shares once you see the gold price well on its way.
Often the price of Gold stocks leads gold and in the Great Depression, the returns on many Gold stocks were massive.
I use Gold stocks as Insurance.
